Regulations on powers of the National Election Committee of Estonia (2002) (excerpts related to elections) (English)

List of regulations concerning elections and referenda

According to section 15 (4) of the Riigikogu Election Act the National Electoral Committee by its regulations shall establish the following: (texts not yet available)

1. the procedure of the National Electoral Committee;
2. the procedure for the nomination and registration of candidates;
3. the standard format of candidate registration applications, the standard format of the list of candidates in an electoral district, the standard format of the national lists of candidates, the standard format of the application for a candidate for his or her running as a candidate, the standard format of the personal data form of candidates;
4. the standard format of the list of electors;
5. the procedure for voting in foreign states;
6. the procedure for the holding of voting and verification of voting and election results;
7. the standard format of a ballot paper;
8. the standard format of the records of voting results and election results;
9. the status of an observer;
10. the procedure for the use of money allocated for the organisation of elections;
11. the procedure for the preparation, amendment and completion of a polling list, and the standard format of polling lists;

According to section 17 (4) of the Local Government Council Election Act the National Electoral Committee by its regulations shall establish the following:

1. the procedure for the registration of candidates;
2. the standard format of the applications for registration of the list of candidates, the standard format of the list of candidates in an electoral district, the standard format of the application for a candidate for his or her running as a candidate, the standard format of the personal data form of candidates;
3. the standard format for notification of the citizens of the European Union of their right to vote and to run as a candidate;
4. the standard format of polling lists;
5. the procedure for the holding of voting and verification of voting and election results;
6. the standard format of ballot papers;
7. the standard format of the records of voting results and election results;
8. the status of an observer;
9. the procedure for the use of money allocated for the organisation of elections;
10. the procedure for the preparation, submission and publication of the report concerning expenses incurred for elections.

According to section 17 (4) of the Referendum Act the National Electoral Commttee by its regulations shall establish the following:

1. the standard format of polling lists;
2. the procedure for voting in foreign states;
3. the procedure for the holding of voting and verification of voting results;
4. the standard format of ballot papers;
5. the standard format of the records of voting results;
6. the status of observer;
7. the procedure for the use of money allocated for the organisation of a referendum.
