On 6 June, a court in Tirana Baftar Gjana to 18 years in prison and Xhevair Lusha to 15 years for kidnapping a 20-year-old woman, smuggling her across the Adriatic, and selling her in Italy in December 2001. The woman, was then forced into prostitution, and subsequently escaped, returned to Albania, and testified against the kidnappers. (RFE/RL)
